they will not be posted out here on the board.

if someone else wants to post them, be my guest.. .. we have no other choice in this matter, and sending out confidential documents is better when it is done privately.

No more 3-day DCs starting in 2013?

apologies if there is another recent thread on this, but i have heard from 4 different people in 3 different geographic areas (including someone who does advance work for the dcs), that beginning in 2013 the three day dc program will be replaced by a second two-day circuit assembly.

some people were passing the info along like a secret, others seemed to think that everyone already knew.. if everyone in j-dub land is already talking about this, how is it not all over this forum??.

anyway, can anyone confirm or deny?.

my email from the event coordinator of Qualcomm said they only hold May 25 and 26 for 2013.

Maybe a type O.. i will have to respond to the email to double check if they made a Mistake on the dates.

Lets see what they say.

Quailcom Staudiumn in San Diego has only 2 days reserve for the convention next year May 25 and 26.

Interesting for El paso Texas.. Maybe this will be a International Convention?

Is the 10 Hour Per Month Requirement Still In Force?

are there any active elders/ms or higher out there who can advise if one of the requirements for appointment is that the person's fs time is equal to or greater than either the congregation's average or the national average?

this used to be the case, but may have been relaxed.

also is the branch still approving appointments?

YES IT IS. the 10 hour is in full force.. or so it is in sourthern california. Every time the CO comes along the COBE says make sure your getting at least 10 hours a month or a averge of that for the past 6 months to all appiointed men, if you behind make a month where you get a lot of hours so that you maintain that 10 hours.. you need to set the example and be visible in the field ministry...You dont have a average of 10 hours or damm close to it your name does not even come up for a appointment of MS or ELDER. You drop below that for any number of months they will have you in the back room asking what is your problem have you commited a serious sin??

SO ITS ALL A HOURS GAME!

Then when the MS and Elders meeting on Friday comes along with the CO most of the time its looking at the cards of each publishers who are under 10 hours and running them down.. It just makes me sick to my stomach ever time I have to sit in that meeting. Most of the Men who would have made excellent MS or Elders were never even consider because of not having that number of hours. They are solid familey men who work hard to support there families and to teach them about the bible. they would often work 6 or 7 days a week, just not to be a burden on anyone. Then when they had a day off they went in the minstry they would average about 6 hours a month, and it was a solid 6 hours not like some who would have put down 20 hours. They could explain bible topics and reason with people better then any of the Pioneers or for that matter most of the elders to. (Holy Sprit must have Passes right over them to the 10 hour brother who fake his time sheets)

I would often think of James chapter 2 about favoritism and that is just what it is the more hours you have the more they roll out the red carpet for you. Invited to Zone visits, Qualify for International Coventions, Invited to hear Speical Talks By visiting Bethel Brothers. Pioneer School and the Pioneer Meetings when th CO comes to town and so on.

There is never a prayer to ask for holy sprit to choose the best men for the job...its the hours of his time sheet that qualifies a person, then a prayer is made only after looking at there time sheet there mind is already made up. Then when that brother fails and most of them do because they were not all that spritural to begin with then its " Jehovah" must not want them to serve anymore.. WHAT???

If Jerusalem destruction was truly significant- Why would an almighty God allow so much confusion regarding the date?

i was just thinking that if truly the destruction of jerusalem would have any significance today, why should there be so much confusion surrounding its date and discrepancies regarding the names of those neo-babylonian kings.. .

if truly that event was significant, why should it be so difficult for the almighty god to pen down the exact date in the bible and shield us from unnecessary debates, reliance on scholars and opaque explanations from religions with ulterior motives?.

i cant comprehend any reason to justify the silence from god on this date.. .

i dont think there is confusion the only confusion is history and man made clay tablets throwing everbody off ..As far as 607 bce as some belive we will just have to wait and see.

The bible clearly says that it would lie in ruins for 70 years I dont belive the whole 20 year sevitude was part of the this prophecy.

Anyways I can tell you that at the end of 2014 when christ has been in power for over 100 years according to JW that many will start to drop away and really question

the whole 1914 last days.

i don't know if anyone has noticed this yet but the jan. 2012 g is now up on jw.org.

the average printing per issue is now.

41.042,000 which is an increase per issue of 1,129,000 more compared with last year.

Its interesting on the increase. Is the new arrangment working now? leaving all the magz. on the back counter for all to grab at any time? no need to request a order for magz just grab

a hand full as you walk out the door and let them pile up at home. now watch the numbers rise. I would like to see how many magz are reported in the filed service reports to that of printing..

ill bet theres a huge differance.

I do agree with factfinder about why go out and waste your time for not the right motive and quarterback about it being tough work but very enjoyable.

I just wanted to see how some have counted there field service time. If you were in bethel you are consider in full time service and most bethelites only get 10-15 hours a month of

real field service time. I also know some brothers who are pioneers that are on the RBC ( Regional Building Commitee) they count most of there time this way and get only about

20 hours a mounth in field service and that is pushing it. Its so much easier to hang out on a kingdom hall build for 8 hours on a saturday then banging on doors.

So in line with no room for george any thing that promotes spreading the good news of the kingdom or contributes in some other form could be counted.

All in all i dont think Jehovah or Jesus will be looking at peoples Field sevice time at armageddon. There is nothing in the bible about recording your hours for the benefit of pleasing men who look at your hours

to determind if you are a (spritual perons or not) Jehovah already knows.

Would like to see if any of you were on the same page as I was. With so much to do, like reading all the watchtower and awake each month and the bible reading each week

for the meetings, on top of that your own bible reading schedule. Preparing for the bible study (aka book study) and everthing else on a midweek meeting, and then to study the WT for sunday... not done yet..

read the daily text and dont forget the year book, familey study and any personal study projects. And then of course dont forget all the time to get ready for the meetings travel and so on.

With all of that and putting 70 hours in field minstry is like holding down 2 full time jobs not taking into account your current job to support yourself....WOW. its scary to think abount.

I am starting to see why at least 90% of the Pioneers are depressed and tied and have feelings of worthlessness because they are not making ther hours. then the CO comes every 6 months or so and

tells them if your not making your hours to quit pioneering or your not trusting in Jehovah enough and so on and so on. Just about every pioneer that comes out of that meeting with that CO is crying

crushed and ready to give up.

So to say all of that , how have you counted your time? I have counted my time for doing anything thocratic when pioneering of course I kept this to myself ..here are some things i count my time for..

but heaven forbids if you tell some one this..

so here goes.. Preparing talks for meeting , Preparing for bible studies, my drive time, starting my time when i leave my home ( they say we work for the best employer)

sheperding calls, if I am reader for the WT or bible study ,and any extra study I have to do for a bible study and of course house to house ministry.

Whats your thoughts?
